Dozens of firefights digging through rubble looking
(Philadelphia, PA) -- The death toll is climbing in a Philadelphia building collapse. Authorities now say at least four people have been killed after a building collapsed in the downtown area. A four-story building came down on top of a two-story building which housed a Salvation Army Thrift Store. During the day, one woman was found dead and 13 people were rescued from the ruins. As crews continued to dig with the assistance of search dogs to see if anyone else was trapped under the rubble, they discovered three more bodies Wednesday night.
Early reports said the collapse may have been caused by some kind of industrial mishap. Construction crews had been working on a nearby structure.
