Who is Nicole Sandler?

Nicole Sandler is back in South Florida.  The NYC native moved to Hollywood with her family in time for middle school (Olsen Middle School... and then Hollywood Hills High School), and graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Broadcasting.

After a 20 year+ radio adventure that took her back to NY, where she got her first taste of talk radio at WMCA with the legendary Bob Grant, and WPLJ where she got her first taste of morning drive as part of Jim Kerr & The Morning Crew.

Love brought her out to Los Angeles.  The relationship fizzled, but Nicole’s radio career sizzled.   A fourteen-year run in Southern California included producing the Mark & Brian Show when it reigned supreme at the top of morning drive from 1990-94; hosting mornings at KNX-FM; serving as Music Director and morning host at KSCA; and co-hosting mornings at San Diego’s 91x before Clear Channel brought her back to Los Angeles to help launch Channel 103.1, where she hosted afternoons and served as Music Director and, eventually, Program Director.

When radio consolidation required the sale of Channel 103.1’s two signals, Nicole moved across the country to Boston, to program and host afternoons at WXRV.

As the single mom of a little girl she adopted from Kazakhstan, Nicole wanted her daughter to live near family, so they moved back to South Florida, where she continued doing voiceover work and started her own video production business.

You can take the woman out of radio, but you can’t take the radio out of Nicole.  She was an avid listener of 940 WINZ, and hounded management about a job until they hired her as Executive Producer of the Jim DeFede Show and as the station’s Promotion Director.

In September of 2007, Nicole was given the microphone herself as she took over as morning hosting duties to helm the newly-rename Nicole Sandler Program on 940 WINZ.
