MIAMI, FLA – August 29, 2013 – Do a little warm up. Start your training. Call your friends and family to support you. Create a team. Lace up your sneakers. Join Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale as it hosts the 18th annual Race for the Cure® to honor breast cancer survivors, support those dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis and raise funds for research to end breast cancer. Seventy five percent (75%) of net proceeds from the event stay in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties to support local breast cancer programs.
On Saturday, October 19, 2013, starting at 7:30am, more than 23,000 runners and walkers will meet at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132, to participate in the event.
